Custom Sourcing in Action: Spoon & Clip with Logo for a Thai Pet Brand
Not every custom project involves glass or ceramic. Sometimes, a client needs accessories – and that’s where our sourcing and project management experience truly shines.
Recently, we worked with a Thailand‑based pet brand to produce two custom accessories:
- A TRP spoon for their canned pet food – in three colors
- A plastic snack clip for resealable bags
Both items required custom logo printing – in multiple colors and multiple positions. Here is how we handled each one.
Project 1: TRP Spoon with Dual‑Color Logo
Quantity & Colors
The client needed 625 pieces per color in three colors: green, pink, and white – total 1,875 spoons.
Logo Complexity
Each spoon required logo printing in two positions. There were four logo designs in total, and three of them were dual‑color logos (two ink colors per design).
Our Recommendation
We suggested silk screen printing because it provides clean, durable results. Single‑color silk screen is more cost‑effective, but the client’s brand identity required dual‑color logos. We explained the cost difference clearly, and the client agreed – they understood that brand quality comes with a higher investment.
Food‑Grade Ink – The Critical Detail
Since the spoon is used for canned pet food, the printed ink must be food‑grade / food‑contact safe. This is a special type of ink that requires more complex mixing and color matching. Unlike standard industrial ink, food‑grade ink takes additional time to formulate and adjust – especially for dual‑color matching. This is why the production took over two weeks instead of the usual 7–10 days. We do not compromise on safety or quality.
Mold & Production
We arranged the mold for the spoon shape, then proceeded with silk screen setup for each logo design and color. The entire production took about two weeks.
Sample Approval
After production, we sent samples to the client by air freight. They checked the quality and logo precision, and confirmed they were satisfied. Only then did we proceed with the full shipment.
Project 2: Plastic Snack Clip with Logo
Quantity
The client ordered 3,000 pieces – 1,000 pieces per logo design (three designs total).
Pre‑selection Process
Before this order, we sent the client 2–3 different clip samples to choose from. They selected the best quality one (thicker, more durable plastic) before we moved forward.
Logo Printing
Each clip required logo printing in two positions. There were three logo designs in total (1,000 pieces each). Because the clip material and logo placement were simpler, the printing process was faster – we completed the entire order within one week.
Quality Check
Just like the spoon project, we sent samples by air for the client to inspect before shipping the bulk order.
